Hitchin 2022

The stunning Walking with The Snowman™ sculpture trail is coming to Hitchin for the first time from 19 November until 20 January, 2023.

Inspired by the late Raymond Briggs’ timeless festive tale, The Snowman™, discover twelve giant The Snowman™ sculptures, painted by artists with designs inspired by the song ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’, around Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

The tenth sculpture on the trail, Ten Lords are Leaping, has been painted by local artist Sarah Graham with the help of Year 6 students of her former school, Oughton Primary and Nursery School.

The trail is presented by Cala Homes in partnership with Hitchin BID and North Hertfordshire Council. Walking with The Snowman™ art trails are produced by Wild in Art in collaboration with Penguin Ventures (part of Penguin Random House UK).

Over the course of the sculptures installation, Cala Homes are encouraging donations during the festive season towards the Samaritans, Asthma + Lung UK and local Hitchin charity, Open Art Box.
