Jodie Silverman has created the first sculpture on the trail; the iconic Partridge in a Pear Tree. A beautiful pear tree grows all the way up the Snowman, from his feet to the tip of his red, heart-shaped nose. Two friendly partridges, one for each side of the sculpture, perch on frosty branches under a twinkling sky. The design is traditionally festive, glistening with snow and covered in wintry foliage.
Jodie is a Manchester-based figurative artist and art therapist. She has been enthusiastically creating ever since she was old enough to hold a pencil. After gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking, she worked for an animation company before completing a MA in Art Psychotherapy Practice. Her influences are many and varied with the most prominent being Frida Khalo and Paula Rego.
