Jodie Silverman has created the first sculpture on the trail; the iconic Partridge in a Pear Tree. A beautiful pear tree grows all the way up the Snowman, from his feet to the tip of his hat. Two friendly partridges, one for each side of the sculpture, perch on frosty branches under a golden twinkling sky. The design is traditionally festive, glistening with snow and covered in wintry foliage.
Jodie is a Manchester-based figurative artist and art therapist. She has been enthusiastically creating ever since she was old enough to hold a pencil. After gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking, she worked for an animation company before completing a MA in Art Psychotherapy Practice. Her influences are many and varied with the most prominent being Frida Kahlo and Paula Rego.
