Jessica Perrin has taken inspiration from the traditional uniforms of military marching bands for her design Twelve Drummers Drumming. The style of these uniforms inspired Jessica to add intricate details and vibrant colours to her sculpture. She has chosen to make the design more festive by using the classic Christmas colours of red, white and gold. The drumming Snowman stands proudly in his uniform to let everyone know that Christmas has arrived.

Jessica is an illustrator and designer based in Birmingham. Recently completing her master’s degree in Visual Communication, she loves to create both digital and traditional art that has a strong narrative content. Her love for character design can be seen throughout her work. She designed two giant Bee sculptures for Wild in Art’s recent sculpture trail Bee in the City; Beejing and I’d Rather Bee Cycling.
