Adam Pekr’s design is based around the idea of Five Salford Rings. The Snowman is wearing the first ring, a traditional Christmas wreath, around his neck. He is stood on a spinning wheel to represent Salford’s rich history in silk spinning. The two rings on his front are an industrial roller chain and a diamond ring, representing Salford’s economic development. He is wearing a life ring in case he decides to take a swim in The Quays!
Adam is a Czech-born airbrush artist who started his artistic journey in graffiti art. Influenced by the airbrush work of H.R Giger, he combines realism with a vivid imagination. A multi award-winning tattoo artist of 7 years, he is now solely a mural and airbrush artist, bringing walls to life in businesses and homes across the North West. He is a regular Wild in Art artist, having recently painted two giant Bee sculptures, SuperBee and Mike Summer-Bee, for Bee in the City, and a giant Robin for Hoodwinked 2018.
